The Dark Side of Transformation

There’s a difference between knowing the answer…and living it. Between understanding a principle and making it part of your life in ways that rock your world.

Know what I mean?

Once upon a time, when my life was a major reconstruction zone (love when that happens, don’t you?), I sought help everywhere I could. Can you guess what I found?

Self-help books and spiritual teachers gave me lovely concepts, but without a map for getting from where I was to where I wanted to go. They told me the what but not the how. At least, not the how that would work for me.

Worse yet, I heard coaches (who I love and admire) pose a question that sets my teeth on edge: If you knew the answer, what would it be?

Grrrrrrrr.

Seriously – I would want to snarl at them – don’t you think I would have already taken action if I Just. Knew. How!?!

There’s nothing worse than feeling trapped in your own life. Knowing there’s something else, sometimes sensing it…just out of reach and not being able to get your hands around it . To make THE difference you long to make.

And by the way: That longing you feel? May be a yearning for clarity on what you really want. Being able to wrap words around the core, the essence of the transformation that calls you. Because without that clarity, you’re stuck in Transformational Limbo.

So here’s the dark side of the Wild, Wonderful World of Transformation:

A lot of voices in the chorus are saying, “You need to xxx,” but they aren’t showing you how to apply xxx in your life.

OR – they’re telling you their way is The Truth, for you and the rest of the world.

Uhhhhhh…No.

Seriously – sets my hair on fire just thinking about it.

So how do you get there? How do you access the clarity that only your Inner Wisdom can give you? How can you come back to your own place of knowing, time and time and time again – when your world has destabilized? And – how do you trust what you find when you DO get to your own center?

I can’t tell you.

Or – I can’t tell you THE way for you, but I can show you a way that helped me and others (like you) to find their own way. And learn to trust it.

I won’t tell you that I can show you the path through your own swamp. But I can give you a way to find your path and to test the ground along the way, to learn where your solid footing lies. And when you slip off the path (cause that’s part of the journey), I’ll show you how to work with the mud instead of flail against it.

You may even tame a ‘gator or two along the way.

So instead of telling you I have the answers for your life, I’m asking if you’re ready for something completely different…if you’re ready to be your own mapmaker for the path that only you can walk.  If this speaks to you, I invite you to join me in a remarkable experience so you can see your path more clearly and be more comfortable when you don’t yet have that clarity. So you can see the beauty in the treasures buried in the swamp, and in the journey itself.

Because when you can inhabit this space, you’ve moved beyond knowing the answers on a cognitive level to living them. Learn more here.

In celebration of the unfolding adventure!
